Regulated capitalism worked just fine.
Unregulated laissez-faire capitalism, or 'free-market' captalism is a disaster for everyone but the 0.001 %
finally - we agree on something
We the people still have some control over our banks and the democratic process in Australia. We have universal healthcare (with an option to buy private insurance), a social securty system based on actual needs (sure, there's some rorting going on), and no ongoing "debate" about abortion or sexual preference.
Capitalism can work, but only when closely regulated, and the regulators need an ombudsman/woman for further oversight/justice for the little guy/gal.
exellent
have you climbed Ayers rock?
No. I respect the indigenous wish to not climb it. I have climbed the gorges of Nitmiluk, our Mt. Barney, The Stirling ranges, and I'm doing the Cradle mountain Overland track in our Spring. The Bungle Bungles are a far better trip than Uluru.
I climbed Ayres 25 years ago before it was forbidden
It was amazing - so were the Jenolan caves - and AU wines too
Best caves are around the Margaret River region south of Perth, and so are the wines there.
