Forum Post: What's wrong with this?

In 9/11, the world was shaken as two planes collided into the WTC. Well here's what happened in the US. The rich people ran down the stairs, and the firemen making less than 60k a year ran up the stairs to save the rich. What society do we live in where this is allowed to happen? This is what I believe the OWS is about. Changing the world in such a way that the rich would run up the stairs to save the poor, not the other way around.

Interesting statement. Based on what you said, do you believe the firemen should be the 200k per year folks and the (going downstairs) folks be the 60k? Are the firefighters paying back 100k in student loans? Are the firefighters college educated? There are too many 'what-if's' with this. I totally agree that saving a life is priceless though. Just not sure how to address something like this.

you see, there's a difference, actually, i see that i had a fault in my slight idea, yeah, there's something that has to be done, i think that it's just really an economic system, we the people, in order to create a more stable, and unified economy.... it's a little wrong, but still, create a constitution for the economy, not just for the way that people run their business.... am i a radical, maybe, apparently my political spectrum is close to ghandi, and yeah, that is a little foolish thing to say, and some of those people running down the stairs were killed too, those firemen were going into a place, where they knew was going to be dangerous, they died trying to save those unfortunate enough to become a victim of the 9/11 attacks, now, what i want to know is what the problem is with the police, there is nothing known to people as private property.... hey, oh god, i sound a little like a Hypocrite. i am wrong, but remember this, what you do is what defines you, what you say is nothing but an idea

I am, possibly, someone where people can seek refuge, i hope that you seeking revolution, can see what is going to happen, now i need help, and if you're really thinking about revolution, I can show you a more perfect world, a world free of hate, where everyone lives for each other, and the sanctity of the human race sincerely, TutorOfPlato

What a foolish thing to say. You realize that the vast majority of those that worked in the WTC were 99%'ers trying to do an honest days work.

It is people like you, who say ridiculous things, that justify all the negative things being said about OWS out in the real world.

a place, where people don't care about the lives of the people below them in status
