I get that the banks are being targeted. and Wall St. is the only acceptable stance on insurance government run health care, or are we open to drastic reform in the sector?

has there been any thought on this with regard to the fact that insurance companies employee millions of Americans and immediate abolition would cause drastic unemployment?

what would be a good compromise?

I don't understand that gecko. Flo is kinda cute. That nationwide guy is creepy. The all state guy was the best president on "24". The movement is so stupid even a caveman could....no, no he wouldn't.

I don't mean do nothing, I mean think it through. But a good start would be an effective windfall tax on massive profits and of course an immediate investigation and accountability for the current mortgage fiasco. Also an immediate ban on lobbying by corporations and their rights relegated back to business status. Also an investigation into the relationships our esteemed politicians have with corporations. There needs to be a separation between finance and government like we have had between church and state for the last 2 centuries.

I don't think immediate abolition of anything would be a good idea. The changes we want will take some time to think through and then more time to be implemented, if we even get to that stage, :) rayl

so let's use this forum to think about it. if someone asks you what your plan you can't go all "duhhhhhh... i dunno," on them. we need to have answers top the questions being asked. Open source style.

someone bring it up at a GA. get some real answers or at least a team working on it.

I do not believe there has been any thought given to that fact. You make a great point.

They also didn't give any thought to the $20 per hour minimum wage. I would estimate 30% unemployment, followed by the doubling in cost of many items (including the liberals beloved starbucks coffee) if this were implemented.

Apparently it is easier to shout slogans than it is to actually consider these factors.
