If you haven't run across my posts, I came to OWS from tea party. OWS pretty much has been open minded when I say they have more similarities than differences.

If you don't believe me, watch this tea party video till the end, where it calls for action and see if it resonates with you. Imagine tea party organization and OWS passion. Imagine this message below in this video, with OUR willingness to stand up in front of police to demand our rights.

I am in the same boat, and agree with both the teaparty and OWS sort of ideals. We can definitely agree that our representatives don't represent us.

I think the trouble, at least apparent in this video, is just a few issues. I don't think OWS would rally behind english being the official language, or border/immigration issues. There seems to be a knee-jerk reaction when it comes to just a few issues like this, which we would have to get over in order to work together. But I think both sides are reasonable.

If I could sum it up nicely, I would say our hearts are in the same place but we live in different places.

sudo maybe I can give you another viewpoint. 20 years ago I came to the USA from to pick strawberries. 19 years ago I became a citizen. I learned English. When people do not want to learn it, it is not because they can't. It is because they won't. The official language in Mexico is Spanish but we also have many 'national' languages. I think that would be a good thing for the US too, one official language plus many national languages.

I see what you are saying. To me, an official language isn't a huge issue - it has not affected me personally, and therefore, without any other influence on my opinion, seems like a right wing attack on minorities. I have no basis for saying this, but I think if you did a poll of OWS supporters, you'd find they'd also oppose it, whether they have any reason or not. Coming from a non-native US citizen, your argument is a lot stronger =).

I think these trivial issues are keeping OWS and tea party separate, just like they keep liberals/republicans separated.

That's a great video. Lots of good ideas. Love that quote, "You're sucking on the hind tit of a dead cow." You need to repost this tomorrow so others can see it.

we have plenty to do thank you,

1st I wake up and spank my monkey. then I realize I am hungry and seek a hand out

After I eat food, donated by the capitalist businesses I am protesting, I seek to get wasted.

After I find a dealer I get good and High.

Then I find a news crew to yell at and try to prevoke into a fight. ( knowing they wont actually get physical helps)

I then march in the street. no its not actually marching but more like following a mob

Then I look for something to vandalize.

It's getting cold so I cuddle up with a flea bitten ho bag in her tent until I'm warm enough to continue.

next I listen and agree with 30 other protesters, even though they have issues I do not represent.

By now it's time to deposit my free meal onto a local police car or behind a building.

it's been a long day and I'm ready to retire back to my make shift tent.

I know I've helped because for my efforts someone claiming to controll donations has raised another $100,000

wish I saw some of that money.

Tea Party assholes. No progress has been made. No progress will ever be made. What did Paterno expect to happen? read more - http://overthecoals.blogspot.com/

Paterno told the athletic director about Sandusky.

"Thousands of students gathered peacefully on campus Friday night for a candlelight vigil for the boys whom former defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky is accused of molesting. Two nights earlier, a violent student demonstration broke out after Paterno's firing, and emotions remain raw — a window at Sandusky's home was smashed and Paterno has retained a lawyer." By GENARO C. ARMAS and MARC LEVY Associated Press

Did Paterno expect Sandusky would stop attacking young boys because he told the athletic director? Paterno is a genius football coach so he couldn't be that stupid. Paterno became part of the crime when he believed he was covering his ass. Every kid that Sandusky attacked after 2002 is the direct responsibility of Paterno. The PA State's Attorney is protecting Paterno from his crime because Paterno won lots of football games.

This is a perfect example of the sickening American hypocrisy we live in. Americans are irrational devious people who are so arrogant they believe they are better than all others. They have ruined our spectacular country. All the Americans reading this post need to look in the mirror and blame themselves. The next step should be to demand justice and arrest Paterno. If Americans are going to stop the privileged like Paterno, and Strauss-Kahn and the congress from taking bribes, this would be a good time to start.

Steve you have admitted that you are a convicted felon who spent 9 years in prison for extortion. Why are you looking for your next prey here?
