You know it will happen. This is not cold yet. Cold is when you can see your breath...cold is when water starts freezing... I dont see any ice on the ground so this isnt cold.

When someone finally dies in the park, then there will be a call to action. No one can ignore a corpse and Im guessing it will hit Youtube of the coroner taking out the body when it does happen.

People go on expeditions to the Arctic without dying. It's not inevitable.

That said, if homeless people are being funneled into the park, some of them will have serious, untreated health problems that put them at risk. I'm not there, so I don't know how well the OWS medics are doing with preexisting conditions.

Specifically, any tuberculosis in the camp MUST be dealt with quickly and effectively. Occupy the city hospital if you find a case and it doesn't get whatever treatment is needed to deal with it, even (especially!) if it's multidrug resistant. It would also not be bad to be pretty strict about hygiene where things like spitting and coughing are concerned, and to ensure that some form of meat is available to everyone (which substantially reduces the risk of catching it)

I am afraid that 1) Occupy will blame someone, anyone else. Im standing with Occupy and helping organize our local camp. But its time we took responsibility for our own actions and that we are not peacefully assembling anywhere, but are forcibly occupying wherever we are.
