You may be surprised to know that it was the "Anti-Masonic Party", which developed during a time when the public was highly concerned with the covert influence on America of an occult, secret society, which included as it member lawyers, judges, bankers and other members of society's elite:

In these days, when both our major political parties are highly suspect, it may be time for another party to become prominent, that is highly concerned with covert influences on our society. Perhaps such an approach could shed some light on the seemingly intractable nature of our problems today.
Although this way of thinking is commonly labeled "conspiracy theory", I think that its is necessary for all or our citizens to become more aware of the hidden forces that influence us. Each person has to develop more of the qualities of an effective "intelligence analyst".
