An economic system based on competition between ourselves has evolved into clever ways of gaining advantages over others. All Men are Created Equal was an acceptance by everyone as a great step for civilsation, no longer attempting to manipulate gain for ourselves but recognizing the pursuit of happiness should exist for all.

Now we have individual states bidding against other states for large corporations to locate in their state. My county officials were pissed about not getting enough money from our own state, so they hired a lobbyist! No one pointed out that other counties could afford more expensive lobbysists. These are ridiculus methods. The word folly comes to mind.

I've read and heard about the spirit of the nation uniting after the attack on Pearl Harbor. It was in everyone's interest to unite to solve this huge problem. States deferred to the greater good for the country. The phrase, "Greed is good", did not go over very well during this period, and it never should.

Ideally, we could unite the entire world and hopefully someday we will. Until then we should change this country's current economic system and political process so that we're all on the same team in this country. The resolve that existed during WWII is needed now for a different problem.

I remember the great Soviet Union, which supposedly took care of their people, but proved inferior in the areas of economic advancement for all. Incentives and "skin in the game" are real motivators, but must not be allowed to be above equality, freedom, and the pursuit of happiness.

This current system is some gross perversion of everything bad with capitalism, socialism and communism.

Or at least it is heading in that direction.

No one can pin down this current system because its a new thing. Globalism is changing the whole game.
