Forum Post: What is your idea of Helping Others?

Is it giving to charity? Cause Id like to point out that charity executives are already millionaires. Its time we wake up from the deep sleep we have been in, as evident by this leaderless occupy movement.

Is it giving money to others? Although this may have a temporary relief, ultimately I think the money can be better spent in removing the obstacles set in place by the rich hoarders of this country to limit the progress of the poor.

Is it taxing the rich or giving more money to the government? Cause I definately dont think that is the solution! When did the government ever help us?

Affordable college. (if not free). Job training grants, Day care grants for low income, Tax breaks for living wage job creation in low income areas. tax breaks for below market rate housing for low income people. certainly give to charities that serve low income, elderly, disabled, single parents. We have to have some compassion for our fellow americans. No?

Ya there needs to be a direct link to helping others who need it, not a middle man who consumes the lions share as is evident by the high paying executive salaries that are easily verifiable on Form 990's tax returns. Same thing for government charity. Lets form a network that gets rid of the middle man, so the help goes directly to those who need it.

I agree execs shouldn't make large salaries but it's hard to see how that might work. And I think the jobs problem is a bigger issue. We should focus on other things 1st. Good luck!
