Forum Post: What is Congress for?

The internet allows the masses to share ideas, and listen to the ideas of others, faster and further than ever in history. Why do we have Congressmen? In 1776 it took a long time to go places, we sent representatives to vote on our behalf out of necessity. I am now speaking in a forum that has the potential to reach the whole country. Others who see this and agree will mention it to friends and those who disagree may post an argument, if their argument makes more sense than my current position, I may be waived and share their position with others. Eventually we as a group will make sense, we should never stop the forum though. We should always be trying to improve.
