So now we have a Tea Party group and an Occupy Wall Street group both of which came from different backgrounds but with some similar greviences. As long as the powers that be in Washington are able to turn these two groups against each other based on their differences, Washington will be safe. However, if these two groups actually start to talk to each other and discover their similarities and then cast aside their differences and join together; then and only then will there be a chance for some REAL change in Washington.
The original Tea Partiers and OWS have a TON in common. I support(ed) both movements 100%.
As long as the Tea Party understands that the majority of people want responsible government to regulate capitalism.
I agree with this, it will work as long as they have not been sucked to much into the fold of the Republican Party. Likewise we should be careful to not allow Democratic politicians to take advantage of our movement, political parties represent them selves not the people.
I would like to see Tea Partiers brought into the fold of the OWS, but if that is not possible and the OWS leans too far to the left... then your suggestion is the other option. I've been trying to get a hold of the Tea Party group in my local area already.
