In America today we have a bank I will simply call Bank of America. During this calendar year they announced that they were going to lay off about 40,000 employees. This is after the taxpayers of America borrowed a junque full of cash from China to bail BOFA out because they had run themselves into the ground. I will bet my first class lounge pass that at the end of this year, the CEO of BOFA gets a bonus of at least $10,000,000. Ten million dollars while 40,000 families cannot afford a Christmas tree thanks to his poor performance and yes, his greed. That shit really pisses me off. It has for years. This is not just BOFA and it did not just start in the Bush era. So what do I want to see if the occupation/revolution/evolution is successful? I want to see the NYPD go into the 5th Ave. Penthouse owned by the BOFA CEO and drag him out by his heals just like they drag the occupiers out of the park. I want to see him thrown into a paddy wagon with his wrists tied with plastic bands. Then, after a night in a nasty precinct cell he should be set loose on the streets to fend for himself. I am not saying that he should be punished for being successful. If he were successful enough to not need the taxpayers to bail out his company, and ran it well enough to not have to lay off 40,000 people, he deserves a healthy salary and a nice bonus in his silk Christmas stocking. But he isn’t and he deserves nothing more than a big black hunk of anthracitic disdain. The big fear of the people who oppose OWS is that we intend to redistribute wealth. I say screw redistribution of wealth. I do not want their “stuff”. I have no need for a 247 foot yacht or a Rolex. I would never wear one of their cheesy looking suits. I would however like to see the CEO’s penthouse left exactly as it is and turned into a museum which people can visit to see how the 1% lived before we revolted/evolved. Does having this viewpoint, this secret desire for the evolution of America make me a socialist? A marxist? A communist? A Lennonist? (yes to that one, John Lennon). But no to the rest. I think it makes me a loyal American who is simply saying BASTA.
