Forum Post: What happened to my retirement plan?

I'm just an average Joe, with family earnings under 90k. (not a rich plumber that earns 250k yr) We follow the rules and suggestions of investment firms and gov. and squirrelled some savings into IRAs. Now our retirement $$$ is worth a fraction of what we had invested. The investment broker still is getting a nice fat check and we're getting screwed out of a retirement.
So when the order for the police to disperse the protest and arrest, ask the officers "Hows your retirement looking?" or "Is there any one with an IRA that is worth more today than is was in 2008?" These are the same people that are managing their pensions for their public service. And they are working to destroy that also. So may be civil disobedience may be in order to save the public servants of this country for their own good!
