In the middle of delivering a keynote address, Postmaster General and Chief Executive Officer of the U.S. Postal Service Patrick Donahoe was interrupted by Occupy DC protesters calling on him to resign, angry over pensions and warning against privatization of the post office.

What I believe that you are missing is that this issue has been going on for some time.

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) created a website (with tax dollars) to nail the US Postal Service and it came by way of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. Now, they promote that the Post Office is going bankrupt and is wasting tax dollars. That is a lie. They are pushing through H.R. 2309. They want to slash wages and force layoffs.

The problem with the Post Office is that it is the only agency required to pre-fund the health care benefits of future retirees. That is all that would need to be changed. And they know it.

So, all of the crap that has been said is because they are dismantling the Post Office. This is something that has been going on for quite awhile and simply undermining H.R. 1351. So, if they were not listening back in April or September or October.........then this should not even be a question.

"Return the overpaid pension funds. … "

They're angry that the govt has 11 billion dollars in the general fund that belongs to the Postal Service and won't give it to them.

Because - giving them that money is not in line with their plan to make the post office insolvent so it can farm it out to Fedex.

So you don't mind if they attack pensions and privatise the post office..the public should be silent, obedient and accept this ?
