I know some of these guys are good guys and they're just trying to bring home the bacon, but damn, sometimes, it feels like they are just robots?? I mean, slamming peaceful protesters to the ground and pepper spraying senior citizens, including veterans. That is really uncalled for.

A bigger Union pension. and to address you internal paragraph. I think one has to realize just what kind of "pep rally" these guys go prior to being assigned protest detail. Also take into consideration some of these dudes are x-military, it takes some time out in normal society to be deprogrammed from that. But are police really part of regular society. I imagine in NY. they are part of a privileged class of people allowed to Keep and bear arms. They are not exactly part of the norm there. in the end, they are one of us, not the 99% but We the People, the 100%

I am afraid you are right. Police might not be part of the regular society anymore. It is a sad state for our democracy.

steady . . .

look them in the eye

so they know you are not going to move

and when it looks like

you are going to win

they will join you

hold the line . . .this is it . . if your break now

you break forever
