Forum Post: What do you want exactly?

I'm asking this just because I'm really curious. What do you want exactly? Dissolve capitalism? Socialism? End the FED? Or just showing anger towards your riches or politicians? As I can see there is too much complaint but no clear solution proposal. I'm not telling my opinion here just try to understand the character of protests..

real democracy, not plutocracy or autocracy. Real wealth creation, not securitized instruments like cdos that create wealth for short sellers who sell shares they don't own or wealth for the .1% who create these complicated instruments. Then get bailed out or cause total systemic failure. What is blackmail? Then nothing is done to change anything and the bonuses go up up up. More lobbyists control. The situation seems to have gotten worse. Now the president needs to ask for a billion dollars campaign money and so do the rest as if the offices are for sale. Are they?

Everybody take a look - it's easier than you think. The forum of OWS is fine for expressing views and threaded discussions, but doens not offer tools for polls or new porposals. This site does, and it's all it does. It should be a part of OWS I think, or at least there should be a link to it from this site. Check it out...

this question is posted in variation about every 4 hours or so. please pass this fkn poll around so we can actually get the gdamn answer. 2 million people can come on here and b!tch but they don't want to give an email that connects them to their opinion. well then you have no voice. take the poll. pass the link. be active or stfu.

To achieve healthy capitalism and to protect the people from corporate abuses and corruption a new universal system of labeling of all products and services must be designed and implemented globally. The ingredients of each product or service are composed from not only the physical components but more importantly from the processes involved in the final output.

All corporations and businesses in general must be held accountable and be observed by consumers, employees, the community, and the state departments. For this purpose a tagging system shall be put in place to measure and publicize on any product and any service on the performance of the production business for the total and each of at least the following issues: Executive pay Excessive advertisement Unfair advertisement Labor welfare Unions’ participation Capital distribution Political leverage Environmental responsibility Social contributions Fair play Equal opportunities Financial transparency http://tariganter.wordpress.com/2011/10/17/ethical-corporatism-tagging-system/

Well, the desires are pretty clearly stated in various places and essays, but the point of occupation so far is to raise awareness of the general madness and confusion in society by keeping it leaderless and free of official goals. That way, the movement cannot be decapitated before it gains enough traction to make a difference. Many groups have their own goals and desires. Once a consensus is achieved (sp), we can move forward with more specific direct action inside or outside of the established political channels. For a movement only a few weeks old, we are growing and still making our first glimpses of sunlight.

For myself, I was angry a few years ago before enlightenment. Now, there's no anger; just total resolve that the old way of the world is done. I will never go back to it.

Sure, I understand. Thank you for asking the question. I think this video really sums it up:

What about a Democracy? Is it to much to ask for these days? Wall street pays millions of dollars to basically buy the politicians. It doesn't matter of you a democrat, republican.

All the people want is a democracy that servers the interest of the people and not wall street.

Yea I know what a difficult concept

don't you have free-competitive elections? what is democracy for you?

[-] 1 points by Benny14 (101) 13 years ago

Lol do you actually think that? Why do you think wall street and other huge corporations invest millions into politicians?

Wtf why do you think they spend so much money?

Free election hah what an illusion the working guy down the street got nothing to say in the political system today and that's a fact.

Wake the fuck up

A Democracy is a system that work for the entire country not just the 1% that bribes all the politicians.
