Forum Post: What capitalism builds, it can also destroy

So many anti capitalists here, seeking to do away with and overthrow corporate business. Just as capitalism made these ginats what they are, so can a turning of tides reverse their fortunes. But. Keep in mind these businesses were built over decades upon decades. You can't realistically expect to flip a switch and they be purged. That simply won't happen. It would destroy our country. It is the task og generations from here forward to affect these changes. Those who think they will stand up tomorrow and be the catalyst are deluded with self righteousness.

Yes, yes changes need to be made. Loopholes closed, laws passed for more protection of the populace, corporate influence removed from government. Also people DO need to take more responsibility for their own actions and station. Yes, that is a heated debate and better rebutted in the numerous posts specifically about it, but it is true nonetheless.

I see talk about boycotts of corporations. Good luck. They are everything around us. They sustain us. Can you be otherwise sustained? Sure. Do YOU really know how? I doubt it. I see people complaining about having to work menial jobs below what they are trained to do. Isn't that better than no job in most cases?

People on both sides don't want to see past their own agendas. That is what's going to keep this from going anywhere. Doomed before it starts.
