Forum Post: What can we do?

This content is user submitted and not an official statement

I'm 22, like many 20-somethings I've never voted in an election. I hate party politics and have always decided to stay out of it. In 2012 I plan on voting for the first time, mostly because for once I truly believe in a candidate(who shall remain anonymous in compliance with website rules).

This movement has been spearheaded by young people, most of whom do not vote.
Will you be different?

Read the Rules

I find that whenever I am in a public bathroom, sitting in a stall, I cannot help but read what is written on the walls. Paper, ink, and tape could be revolutionary. Spread the word: http://thedeclarationofdesperation.wordpress.com/

I suggest you read the 99% Declaration https://sites.google.com/site/the99percentdeclaration/ and study it carefully. Click the links , especially the Committees of correspondence. I can try to answer any questions but i'm not the author. If you want more like that read http://thedeclarationofdesperation.wordpress.com/ hope this helps

Need help making a t-shirt. We need to draw a picture of Zooccotti Park with a cage around it. Here are some ideas: Draw a hippie climbing the cage like a monkey and throwing shit.
Draw a hippie rolling in mud and shit like a pig.
Draw a hippies fucking like dogs.
Draw a picture of a hippie eating peanuts like a big fucking elephant. Draw a hippie as a lazy fucking Ape doing nothing.

I like you dude--you turn hippie hating into an art form--are you Cartman in disguise, lol.

Don't encourage him, man. Don't encourage him. ;-)

Why that shit is hilarious--everybody is taking everything wayyyyyyyy toooooooo seriously. If your a hippie, be a hippie and take it in stride that people are going to hate you for it and make fun of you. Take me for instance, I'm weird and a laugh at myself for it all the time. So suck it up a grow a set. Also don't forget "It's better to be hated for who you are than liked for who you're not" Kurt Cobain

It was a joke. Note the eye wink. I like gates, he cracks me up. And I used to know a lot of hippies. Trust me, I'm one of the least serious ones on this site. Hard to tell when someone's joking, though, when you can't see their face. It's one of the few drawbacks to the web, alas.

You can not vote for Obama ... That will help get the liberal trash out of office

[-] 1 points by mb0 (16) 13 years ago

both parties have been bought by big business.. you think a mainstream republican will do any better? Same hand different puppet.

They are less likely to raise my taxes

[-] 2 points by mb0 (16) 13 years ago

Both parties tax unfairly, both parties spend too much, both parties end up fucking their voters in the end. The majority of our taxes are unconstitutional anyways. Taxation would be less of an issue if we followed our own rules.

But an independent official would never get into office!

agreed, our "savior" must come from one of the two parties.
