I live in Nova Scotia and the Occupy Halifax has disappeared since they were evicted from Victoria Park almost a month ago. I really don't believe that they had the right idea and I'm not sure where they went.
I'm absolutely fascinated with the movement that's happening in the states and I'm wondering what I can do to help from here?
@theonewhoknits .. "I can knit like a motherfucker " .... LOL
i am 100% behind you i also am from canada and i don't like our lying, and sneaky gouvernment especially Harper , who said he would not put his friends in the senate and then turned around and did exactly that for his buddies who lost their seats in the last elections , in Canada you can vote for the NDP who are a more friendly to the average worker and the Unions.

What are you talents? There are a zillion things you can do! You can start a new encampment, post critical thought for or against the movement; both help, create a new image or video for the pepper spay cop meme, you can read a book to learn more about certain aspects of Occupy; feeding your mind is always good, you can visit OWS to offer your support, you can get arrested for protesting and release the video on youtube, you can cook for Occupy Montréal, etc... What are your talents?
I can knit like a motherfucker and I can sort of write? I'd love to knit to something for the movement but it would make such a small impact. I have a full time job so it's hard to start a new encampment. I guess I'm looking for things to help the ows movement in the states from abroad.
If you knit things that are useful and beautiful it could make a really strong impact. You could make a series of tuques for winter. Each one could be different and incorporate a small and unique design based on an idea from Occupy. This could help fortify the movement. Imagine many protesters wearing your unique tuques. If it's caught on camera or goes up on youtube people could start talking about them. They could help symbolize the diversity in the movement and create awareness for Occupy. Hell, you could give them out in Nova-Scotia to try to inspire people to re-ignite Occupy Nova-Scotia.
That's a really nice idea! I'll see what I can do!
you can sit on the side lines and watch these guys make the US crash and burn
