Webster Tarpley is absolutely correct that without a list of demands that are feasible (economically and politically) these demonstrations will amount to absolutely nothing.

I just listened to the interview of the Spanish lady, recounting her experiences. (second part of the interview). She was part of a Spanish movement that was co-opted and discusses how the dissent is channeled to suit the purposes of the elite.

Some glaring similarities between OWS and the Spanish movement - well worth listening to.

This is her blog in Spanish so you may need to translate.

He is a great guy and inspired my 5-Point Demand:

(1) Moratorium on Single-Family, Residential Foreclosures;

(2) Student Loan Amnesty;

(3) Immediate, Unambiguous Withdrawal of ALL U.S. Troops from Iraq;

(4) Implementation of a Financial Instrument Transaction Tax; and

(5) Investigation into (Fraud) Foreclosures, Housing Bubble, and Predatory Lending.

I would add (6) Simultaneous arrest of Bush and O(b/s)ama for war crimes

It is important to have a simple to understand actionable demand that can be carried out immediately.

I love Webster Tarpley even though he's harsh on OWS. Gained much knowledge from him in the past

Huh? He loves it as far as I can tell and is devoting his show to helping the movement gain traction for the last couple of weeks. What makes you think he is harsh on it?

In a different interview(I'll try to dig it up) he said OWS takes 4 hours to decide what to have for lunch but no direction. He supports it but with harsh reprimands. Which is ok.

It is all constructive criticism though, which is what I would hope any good friend was brave enough to put on offer.

Agreed

Webster Tarpley is a psycho Laroucher that wrote about 9/11 being an inside job(truther) and how Obama's was born in Kenya(birther)..

This man is your stereotypical conspiracy nut. He is frequently a guest of Alex Jones as a so-called "professional" on every stupid conspiracy theory that is going on.

[-] 1 points by Steve15 (385) 13 years ago

Take that phrase out of your vocabulary and you will become a much brighter and open minded person. It's one of the tools used against you. "conspiracy nut" I don't want to be one of those so I'll just believe everything I am told. Besides conspiracies cease to exist aftet WW2 right.

Sorry bud but Tarpley is former NSA, world class historian, and has a way better grasp on probably everything than you with the exception of epic failing.

[-] -1 points by TLydon007 (1278) 13 years ago

Webster Tarpley CLAIMS to be former NSA and has nothing to back it up. He wasn't even born in America and continues to refuse to show his birth certificate. He also will not explain where he was on 9/11 because he is a terrorist supporter and has yet to prove otherwise. Also, in 1980 he raped and murdered a 9 year old girl and got off the hook by technicality.

Who told you that Glenn Beck? Documentation please!

HAHAHA WTF?

You want to cite some of that crap?

Note to self: TLydon is a paid poster...
