Violence is self-defeating and self-destructive.
Wearing black hides the blood of victimization as it covers the evidence of provocation.
Wearing white is a symbol of pure non violence. It is a defense against aggression that bears witness to aggression against innocence.
If you support OWS violence against authority wear black.
If you oppose OWS violence against authority wear white.
White is also the color of fascism. I'll keep wearing all black thank you very much
Mahatma Gandhi was a fascist?
He was in India. They are allowed to have their own color customs too.
Silly. Irrelevant.
You fools are making it harder and harder to support OWS.
You should try doing what most supporters are doing. That would be ignoring crap and speaking out for the good of all.
Let me rephrase: Don't ignore crap. Shoot it down and move on to doing something about it. Something good. FOR ALL!
OWS is giving this social justice activist of nearly sixty years less and less reason to support OWS.
Perhaps you are operating from the wrong perspective or perhaps you are not a supporter of humanity.
Yep. Same goes for brides, poodles, and oatmeal.
Keep working that hard to alienate support and you will find yourself standing alone in the streets in your blood soaked black tee shirt.
Sorry, disparaging oatmeal was going a bit too far.
Yep. Too far!
Oatmeal is healthy and good for the digestive tract.
OWS is becoming a hate group.
Again wrong perspective.
Makes me wonder about your true motives.
Status-quo MUCH???????
Paranoid juvenile...
"Apparently" negative old fart.
At least that's the trend in current press releases.
Do you always believe press releases?
Don't the KKK or White supremacists by their current nomenclature really get into white? Oh look sears is having a sale on sheets and pillow cases!
I don't care about what color(s) Occupy protesters dress with. White is too cult guru like for my taste, but if that's your thang, I have no problem. I just wish this site didn't print pictures with explosions beside the word "cops", and title's like "Wear Black Fight Back" just on top of said picture.

If you want to promote non-violence, then you shouldn't use an image with explosions to "explain" to protesters how to fight back. When using slogans such as "Fight Back", you should be careful to clearly demonstrate that by fighting you don't mean violence. Right?
Wearing Black clothing to a funeral is a traditional sign of mourning in this country.
We are mourning for our country and it's current state of affairs.
wow, if we then threw in wide brimmed hats, it's look like a spy vs. spy cartoon

Violence is usually a LOSS OF CONTROL of emotions. Emotions driving the individual rather than rational thought. How do you expect "Occupiers" to not become violent? With all that anger and envy, you are going to have violence. This is not a movement driven by rational thought. Rather it is based solely on the aforementioned emotions. Let's get ready to rumble!!!!! ha ha ha
Again another attempt to tie all Occupy & 99% to needless, useless violence. Makes me wonder about your motives.
Status-quo Much?
Not "all".... but very very many. Face it, your "movement" is saturated with derelicts who have too much time on their hands and need a "cause" to rile their emotions. Other people of this world are far too busy WORKING and raising families.... Work, School, Basketball Practice, Football Practice, Baseball Practice, HOMEWORK, Mowing the Lawn, Fixing the Sink, Vacations, Skiing, Hunting and Fishing, and so on. You want my RESPECT and to have people like me NOT lump you all together? STOP calling yourselves the 99%. That lumps ME into your "movement" and your beliefs, and I don't want it. That is MISrepresentation of people. I might be in the lower 99% of income earners in this country, but you are not representative of my beliefs or feelings. Maybe that is why you have the status quo of how others look at you? They don't like being lumped into your movement.
