The top 3 percent of the US population own 50 percent of its taxable wealth. The top 20 percent own 85 percent of the taxable wealth in this country, leaving the bottom 80 percent with 15 percent of the taxable wealth. Most of the taxable wealth that does come from the bottom 20 percent come from people 60 years of age and older. 98 percent of African-Americans in the United States of America do not have taxable wealth... Basically, 80 percent of the US population owe more than they have! We dont have any private property! And when we finally do get ahead enough to 'enjoy' the American dream and the fruits of our labor, we are either dead (may my father rest in peace) or too old. So now you know why public property, programs and transportation are important.
