Forum Post: We The People (goldielocks & 3 bears)

Ever notice how the republicans jump all over the democrats when there's a problem?

Ever notice how the democrats do their fair share of finger pointing in the same way?

Ever notice how much energy all polical parties put into saying they're different from the others?

Ever notice how they're fighting is all over the news, but the fact that nothing gets done slips through the cracks?

What is happening is a bed time story. But unlike others, we are an active participant.

Once upon a time, there were three bears.
A republican bear, a democratic bear, and the public (the baby bear that has the most to lose).
The bears came home to discover a house in disarray.
All of the bears were certainly able to point out the mess.
While everybody was paying attention to the accusations, the finger-pointing, and the blaming for what went wrong
    Goldielocks (the seductive blond of ruin) strutted through the house.
    She didn't hide what she was doing.
    She shimmied her way to the porage.
    She plopped herself onto the living room furniture and broke it.
    She had the run of the entire house....as if nobody was home at all.
This brings us to the final act taking place in the bedroom (an all too common setting for political news).
This is where the baby bear (the public) has seen enough.  He blurts out in amazement and disgust:  "Somebody's been sleeping in my bed and that somebody is STILL HERE!"

You see folks, this parable is no fairy tale. The plot has been unfolding in our lives over many years. It has crept into reality in the same way that Goldielocks entered the home. It has lulled us to a sleep of inaction. And worst for all, it has mesmerized us with a dreamland myth. That myth is this: The BIG BEARS are in charge and there's nothing we can do about it but cry. To put it another way, WE'VE GIVEN UP.

That's right. We've given away our power as if we were outnumbered and outgunned.

This country started with a "shot heard round the world"......and if we don't do something, it will fall to the ground without a single call to arms.

The first 3 words of the constitution are: "WE THE PEOPLE" It continues on to say the government is: Of the people By the people and For the people

It is time for words of empowerment. It is time to do what the Mama & Papa Bears fail to do.

Understand that it cannot be through violence. I am calling for the silent majority to break the silence in a peaceful but firm voice.

It is time for the BABY BEAR to kick Goldielocks out of our bed.....out of our living room.....and out of our home!
