Flash Protest your University, bring the movement to your own city streets. People will march with you, but you are going to have to walk. Dress warm, be safe, be peaceful. The silent majority needs all of us to shepherd the message. Thanks for the support, we are ALL the 99%.

Same thing from San Francisco!

You will NEVER cause the change I believe you are trying to affect unless you define your premise in ways that everyone can support you and in a way that revolutionary change can occur. Tackle TRUE CAMPAIGN FINANCE REFORM. Demand laws that state that a politician CANNOT accept or spend ANY contribution that does not come from a citizen that he or she would represent. Even push for a Constitutional Amendment. Everyone would join you on this.

The things you speak of, and a number of others, are already in the works. It will just take a little more time to get it all ironed out. This forum is merely for all of us to have discussions and debate. Most people on this site are unaware that real progress is being made behind the scenes.

unfortunately many are not ready to do whats necessary before things get out of hand. We have unfortunately always been a reactionary society. Only waiting until the damage is dealt. To escape the mistakes of the past we must change. Or will we always be fated to repeat history and make mockery of our accomplishments. Humans have always been fooled into believing in the status-qua until it is too late. I wish not to wait until are chance to change without repercussions is only a fleeting dream.

Well fail the only one here who is failing is you here. Unlike you who works because of your lack of good grades in highschool I am already fully paid do to the fact that I have gotten enough scholarships to fully pay my 37,869.35 per year tuition for all four years. Yes that means not the state ran establishments but a good Private Liberal arts Colllege.

[-] 0 points by FailLOLOL (2) 13 years ago

Sure buddy, whatever you say. Anyone can be successful over the internet. So than about 80% of the US's total college student foundation must be stupid if they don't have a scholarship? and must be fail?

Good job there.

[-] 0 points by Orgoth225 (7) 13 years ago

no... but how you are responding shows what level you are.

[-] 1 points by FailLOLOL (2) 13 years ago

Hey man, your bragging about your scholarships and putting it out there and your really awsome school, so you should stick with your statement. You basically said "Unlike you who works becuase of your lack of good grades in highschool I am already fully paid do to the fact that I have gotten enough scholarships to fully pay my 37,869.35 per year tuition for all four years."

So than why are college students, who are in debt, with OWS? Why cant they get the same sick deal you have despite having bad grades? Why cant you both split the money equally between someone with bad grades and someone with good grades? Hmmm?

Paradox?

[-] 1 points by Orgoth225 (7) 13 years ago

because in reality not everyone can go to college. That's how unfortunately how are system is based upon. You forget one of the reasons we are marching is the fact that we want a more equal system. Why you are standing and complaining about the movement why not try to change the world. That's why we are all here. Even if not all of us can march together physically we are still there in spirit. If you are so angry about the system instead of typing messages against the validity of a social movement on their website you should be trying to help something you support. Instead of making yourself look like an idiot (which I'm sure your not) at least try to make yourself useful.

[-] 1 points by FailLOLOL (2) 13 years ago

Why you are standing and complaining about the movement why not try to change the world

  • Lets see... becuase I believe in my government and my country for which many have fought and died for.

Even if not all of us can march together physically we are still there in spirit.

  • I still believe that "support the troops" theme is garbage, actually support the troops and send them food, games, coffee, essentials! Just saying you support them is garbage. The American Revolution is a prime example to what real support is.

If you are so angry about the system instead of typing messages against the validity of a social movement on their website you should be trying to help something you support

-I feel my help can be placed here, Im sick of people complaining and crying and coming up with dumb ideas. Like Occupy Black Friday, idk about you, but I would like to finally purchase for myself a 40 inch HDTV instead of the crappy 20 inch 1990's TV I have.

Instead of making yourself look like an idiot (which I'm sure your not) at least try to make yourself useful.

  • I am making myself useful, by posting here, others can see this and either agree and hate OWS even more, or disagree, and I'll get bombarded later.
[-] 1 points by Orgoth225 (7) 13 years ago

It's that idea of materialism that brings so many problems. Why do you need a 40 inch screen HDTV. if your 20 inch still works fine? Still so young you are. Like it or not the world is changing and we mus change with it. Our ignorance to what matters in this world is replaced with self fulfillment. A selfish cause indeed. For change we must stand for are rights not as Americans but as human beings. These little instances you call stupid is what causes this change. Please look at the broader picture instead of selfish wants.

[-] 1 points by FailLOLOL (2) 13 years ago

It's that idea of materialism that brings so many problems

WAIT! But people everywhere want cheap iPods and iPhones and Macs and PC's and Games! Even people with OWS! The world is materialistic, this movement and the arab spring would not have been successful without the material that provided the channels, ie. Facebook/Twitter, Computers, TV's, Radios, Cell Phones, etc. Materialistic is also money, Im pretty sure this movement has alot to do with money.

I am looking at the broader picture, if OWS tries to incite revolutions in cities, people will die, get injured and the US will be screwed as a whole, whose to say that wont leave us vulnerable? Conspiracy or w/e you want to call it, thats the broader picture I see.

[-] 1 points by Orgoth225 (7) 13 years ago

Vulnerable to what? Terrorism? People forget in the end all people no matter where or when wants the same thing in life. I have done my share of traveling and have seen that with my own eyes.

[-] 1 points by FailLOLOL (2) 13 years ago

Vulnerable is vulnerable, Idk about you, but I enjoy not waking up to gunfire, or a bomb or having an AK in my face.

[-] 1 points by Orgoth225 (7) 13 years ago

That is unfortunately how the world is, Revolution is often dyed red in blood. Yet we still believe we can do this peacefully. If we fight and work together in peace we can avoid unnecessary bloodshed.

[-] 2 points by gnomunny (6819) from St Louis, MO 13 years ago

Some of us appreciate what you are saying. You made the mistake of letting an obvious troll bait you into an argument. Look at his username, does that look like a genuine supporter? Ignore him and the multitude of others you'll find here. Good luck in school and please spread the word about what OWS is trying to accomplish, which is to fix the many problems in this country so you and your eventual children can grow up in a better place than us older folks are forced to live in now.

[-] 1 points by Orgoth225 (7) 13 years ago

Thank you Gnomunny. It seems though my plan worked. I think I just out trolled a troll. :)

[-] 2 points by gnomunny (6819) from St Louis, MO 13 years ago

Heh heh heh. Good comeback! Keep up the good work, on this board as well as 'out in the wild.'

[-] 0 points by FailLOLOL (2) 13 years ago

No, I actually went to bed for an exam I had. You cant troll a troll. Good try though.

[-] 1 points by Orgoth225 (7) 13 years ago

So I guess that means your saying you are a troll then.

LOL "college students are behind you guys"

[-] 0 points by FailLOLOL (2) 13 years ago

Literally, WAYYYY Behind

[-] -1 points by FailLOLOL (2) 13 years ago

You have to be kidding me, Im in college, and I dont even support this garbage. Hey, sheltered college student, do you know that I am paying off my loans with a JOB, a Jay Oh Bee, you know, the thing you dont have cause your mommy and daddy are paying for your school most likely? Get a life kid. Stop toking and start working.

[-] 1 points by OldLeftie (253) from Washington, DC 13 years ago

you're a tasteless, discourteous, immature fool. Probably not even a college student. Oh wait, maybe an online college.

Oh, by the way, no one pays off their college loans during their college years. They're deferred.

Busted!!! LOL

[-] 0 points by FailLOLOL (2) 13 years ago

Another one for the OWS books. Idk about you, but my parents are not paying anything, and I dont know how long it will be before I have another job. Ever heard of early payments kid? No, becuase your parents pay for everything, including your weed. I am a college student, I dont have to prove anything. You on the other hand, just proved your an idiot.

[-] 1 points by OldLeftie (253) from Washington, DC 13 years ago

online college for sure. I put myself through college before you were born; then I helped two daughters through college, and I was proud to help them financially as much as I could. and you are making no sense whatsoever: in your first post you say you have a job, and in your next post you say you don't know when you'll have another job.
You're right, though. you don't have to prove anything. Your inanity speaks for itself. No wonder your parents aren't helping you out financially.

[-] 0 points by FailLOLOL (2) 13 years ago

Oh right, because my $40K Bachelors degree will be perfect for my $8.50/hr retail job. And I will always want to work in retail, like yourself, where I cannot go up or down.

I hope you reflect on this and realize you make no sense and look like an A-hole

[-] 1 points by OldLeftie (253) from Washington, DC 13 years ago

you win, pal. I can't keep up with your brilliance.

[-] -1 points by RexDiamond (585) from Idabel, OK 13 years ago

That's not true. You can have payments applied while you are in school. You also avoid interest this way. http://collegesavings.about.com/od/financialaid/a/repayingloans.htm

I didn't do this with mine, but I know others who have.

[-] -1 points by RexDiamond (585) from Idabel, OK 13 years ago

I commend you for maturing earlier than most around you.
