Elect? Start with asking for volunteers.

Of course anyone who is elected has to volunteer. At the next GA, I would suggest electing an executive committee to deal with housekeeping issues.

How about you OWS people go home and take showers? Also, you cannot organize a herd of cats. There fixed your two problems.

This is what really scares people. If the movement gets organized its all over for these people so they are terrified.

Again, what is there to be scared about?

With all the Soros money, there should be gold plated fucking toilets down there, massage therapy, a whorehouse and free dope. A real hippie paradise. Its not about the money though, just the stuff money buys.

I am going to try and help again on 10-15 but if there is no deliberative body to make organization decisions, this won't last much longer

It's hard to hold other's accountable if you aren't being responsible. The Egyptians tried to avoid this trap. About the only way a leaderless group can be self policing is to isolate the idiots and let them take the consequences. The only other alternative is for some in the group to play Mom. Show of hands? Thought so.

I have been trying to tell OWS about that site for two days. The city is going to shut them down on public health grounds if they don't get permits for sanitation, water, toilets and emergency healthcare

I wish I was in New York and able to help directly. Why don't they just get the permits then? Is there a fee? Do they need more donations?

I don't know why they don't get the permits. I believe the park is on private property and maybe the owner is okay with them camping out but not putting up portopotties
