Forum Post: we need an edit button for orginal threaders

If you blunder on the header...you can not change it
I have seen forums that allow only one edit on a post and it must be done in the first 5-10 minutes. Maybe something like that could be implemented.
There is a reason for that. Trolls could start what appears to be a benevolent thread, people post they agree with it.. then the troll changes the banner to something hostile making it appear that OWS members support things they do not.
Good point. That's why on some forums you can't edit a thread (and comment) with comments on it.
the edit button should only work for the person who posted..
I fucked up on a header and the post was a bust
A troll could be the original poster and put up a post saying something like, "I think this movement is a good thing, comment if you agree!"
A ton of posters add comments in agreement.
Troll then changes the post to be, "Who here thinks we need to put in legislation legalizing pedophilia? Comment if you agree!"
It's better to be careful what you write the first time.
