Here is a nasty company we can take down:

Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc. Digital Products Division 9740 Irvine Boulevard Irvine, CA 92618-1697

Interesting. I'm actually using a Toshiba laptop from 2007, which has been generally much more reliable than other Windows systems I've used (i.e. never crashes, doesn't have a loud fan noise going except during intensive calculations). But after reading these sites, well... I'll have to think twice. Unfortunately business has its own little Carnot cycle - invest in quality when you're obscure with relatively few sales, and cut back on it once you're a market leader. That way you buy reputation cheaply and sell it for a big payoff.

Rule of thumb: if you're seeing something advertised on TV, do not buy it.

This used to be a good company, at least product wise. Their selling of military secrets are another matter. Anyways, the point is that if you buy a product from Toshiba now, you will probably get screwed or finance someone else getting screwed. Anyways, best of luck to you.
