Occupy the Super Committee.
Let's be clear. The Super Committee has absolutely NOTHING to do with addressing America's debt crisis and absolutely everything to do with corporations expanding their control and wealth over the 99%.. . The bipartisan "super committee" created under the debt ceiling deal that is supposed to come up with at least $1.2 trillion in deficit savings by the end of November got $64.6 million from special interests groups over the past decade, according to a new analysis by MapLight, a nonpartisan watchdog group that tracks the nexus of money and politics.
Political action committees funded by the legal profession ($31.5 million), Wall Street firms such as Goldman Sachs (GS: 96.73, +0.58, +0.60%), Bank of America (BAC: 6.19, -0.03, -0.48%) and JPMorgan Chase (JPM: 31.89, +0.29, +0.92%) ($11.2 million)"
12 politicians deemed to sit on the clandestine unconstitutional commission and represent their employers as listed above. Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, Chase...We must turn our sites to the corporate control of the political. The political employees of the corporations who sell us out and write the laws for their large corporate donors must be made to understand that we will NOT stand for it any longer, no matter the political party. Time to show it will be by your policy and actions and not the letter after your name for which you will be judged.

Yeah, it’s time to occupy, disrupt, harass and disband the forgotten but still secretly conspiring Super Committee, the wealthy implementers of perhaps the dumbest act of economic self immolation since 1937. Except for the war forever! Pentagon, the clowns in the GOP House Caucus, the lawless Justice Department, or the current White House political team, it’s hard to imagine a group of federal officials more intent and focused on doing serious, irreparable damage to the public interest or the social fabric that holds the Republic together.
100% right on this post!
One of the main goals of OWS should be to galvanize support for EXTREME campaign finance reform. The kind of finance reform that doesn't consider major donations "speech", but rather considers them a form of anti-competitive conduct. The same basic antitrust principles that guide the federal government and the courts to mitigate mergers between major corporations should be the same principles that prevent a few major corporations from merging with candidates to form the ultimate monopoly.
