Forum Post: We Live In A Sick Twisted World...But There Is A Way Out!!!

I have a friend. The world says she is sick, they load here up on powerful psychotropic medications, diagnose then re-diagnose her. I think she is just fine. I think it is the world that is sick and many of her perceived issues stem from this. It's obvious with a little anthropological study, knowledge of sociological and psychological concepts, and review of scientific studies that it is not in fact the people that are sick. It's our society. Western Civilization is at the end of the line. It's obvious when you examine the statistics but one statistic is more telling than all the others. The rates of mental disorders in the population. Now I will not write this and say that no one needs medication or treatment. However I will say this if you wanna be mentally healthy in our world you must just

Accept reality. Accept fraud. Accept injustice. Accept corruption. Accept lies. Accept illusionary concepts.

They are part of life. Also, I must point out in addition if you don't feel like doing that they are going to call you crazy. Now I am not saying people are not ill and don't need treatment what I am saying is in another kind of culture, one in which your life has meaning and a purpose and you have the love, support, compassion, and understanding of a community bonded through intense psychedelic rituals while the underlying condition maybe present it doesn't manifest itself into these peoples lives. Addiction and mental illness are unheard of in ayahuasca using communities of the amazon.
