Forum Post: We have a solution for jobs (to those that can drive)

Posted 13 years ago on Oct. 16, 2011, 9:13 p.m. EST by inearth (96) from Tulelake, CA
This content is user submitted and not an official statement

We've been working on a solution for the past 2 months, ever since this movement started. We will be done in 2 weeks, but please PLEASE we need to get in touch with anyone that can drive... The more the merrier.. Anyone that can drive, please please get in touch with us. We will be ready in 2 weeks and we think at least this can help those that can drive, earn money.

please visit https://www.facebook.com/pages/San-Francisco-Drivers/279959605349056

and be on the list. Yes we're initially helping San francisco, but depending on how many people respond, we will roll out our solution to help those in other parts of USA as well.

We have developed a way where those that have a car, or have access to a car can drive people around, like a taxi.. And yes, it is FULLY 100% legal. I'm not going to talk about the specifics, but we really need at least 100 drivers in each state to roll this out in that state. We're starting with San Francisco first, but it is not the only state we plan to help.

This was the best idea we had at the time and I really truly hope it works! We mean well, we just feel that someone should do something rather than just protesting.. WE NEED SOLUTIONS!!!

Time frame for launch is 2 weeks. Please sign up on the list above.

Oh and I apologize in advance, we will not be able to roll this out to any place where there's high crime... Sorry.

Did you take into account the taxi drivers union?

[-] 1 points by inearth (96) from Tulelake, CA 13 years ago

I checked with the California Highway patrol.. we have their blessings :) Unless you mean if I give a shit about the taxi drivers union?.. Hell no.. the taxi prices these days have gone through the roof.

[-] 1 points by FuManchu (619) 13 years ago

But you have to support the unions. Otherwise you are anti people and anti 99%.

[-] 1 points by inearth (96) from Tulelake, CA 13 years ago

No, I don't have to care about the taxi unions.. they can quit and be part of what I've built.. I don't make a cent off of what I've built.. all drivers keep 100% of their taxi take... That's a much better system in my book.. No one makes a profit except those that are driving.. I care about the people.. I don't care about the union.

99% aren't part of the taxi union...

[-] 1 points by FuManchu (619) 13 years ago

Blasphemy! Other unions are the same too, in their respective fields. What about those?

[-] 1 points by inearth (96) from Tulelake, CA 13 years ago

Why be a part of a union?.. why not just make your own living.. I'm giving you a way to work for yourself, on your own terms.. you don't have a boss to answer to... no union rep.. nothing.. This is just propaganda.. unions make money off of people.. plain and simple.

[-] 1 points by FuManchu (619) 13 years ago

They say that without unions workers will be exploited. Unions ensure workers rights

[-] 1 points by inearth (96) from Tulelake, CA 13 years ago

You're still a worker if you're working for yourself?

Exactly, the 99%, as Home Town Banks of 65,000 Members, divide themselves into 16,384 Vehicle Investment Groups of 4 Members, with each group of 4 Members purchasing a hybrid-diesel-hummer-limo Cab which they then put into their Town Cab Fleet of 16,384 Cabs. Why? Because this would reduce their Individual Transportation Costs by 75% (Cost of 1 Cab / 4 Members = 75% less cost per member), and yet they would have a Luxury Limo Cab available to them, out of 16,000 cabs in their Town, five minutes after calling for one, but not necessarily the specific luxury cab in which they own 25%. And most importantly, let's not forget the lessening of Mother Nature's burden from having 75% fewer cars with no traffic jams, and thus 75% less CO2. Furthermore, the list of simple productivity improvements like this one -- which the 99% want but the 1% don't want -- are endless. But first, the 99% must control the banks as Bank Owner-Voters before they can control their Town (and National) design in this manner which is less costly (in terms of the worker hours to maintain it by 75% too) and yet have 75% greater luxury (such as a limo cab) at the same time. Consequently, to decentralize banking into a Focused Direct Democracy by Occupation & Generation is to lower cost 75% is to lower price 75% is to lower work 75% is to increase luxury 75%. As some kind of sick art piece about low-skilled workers getting exploited, this guy has shown up to offer unlicensed taxi driver jobs to anybody willing to bite. Genius performance art indeed.

[-] 1 points by inearth (96) from Tulelake, CA 13 years ago

Fuck off ok? it isn't an unlicensed taxi job.. it is legal and I'm just trying to fucking help.. I don't make a cent off of helping... sure I'll probably gain publicity for helping, but I don't make a cent.. I genuinely want to help.

[-] 1 points by TechJunkie (3029) from Miami Beach, FL 13 years ago

I think that what you're demonstrating is that low-skill jobs are beneath the people here. And that they're not looking for jobs, they just want to protest. I had the exact same frustration as you, but I was offering high-paying, high-skill jobs. Few people on this web site are interested in jobs.

[-] 1 points by inearth (96) from Tulelake, CA 13 years ago

Well driving is not a low-skill job... you have to know the routes of the city and all.. My dad used to drive courier for years, it wasn't low skilled.

[-] 1 points by TechJunkie (3029) from Miami Beach, FL 13 years ago

The bar moves ever-higher...

[-] 1 points by inearth (96) from Tulelake, CA 13 years ago

It's a job.. at least my dad didn't complain.. he put food on our table and I'm grateful that he did that job 16 hours a day so that I could get an education and have a great job... now I'm just trying to return the favor.

[-] 1 points by TechJunkie (3029) from Miami Beach, FL 13 years ago

I literally just got off the phone with my grandmother who just tonight told me a story about my great-grandmother, who did the payroll for some company for decades. Then when she retired, her own secretary learned how to use a computer, and they didn't need her any more. My great-grandmother was INCENSED (apparently?) that she had been replaced by a computer.

The bar moves ever-higher. Now computer skills are considered basic skills. The bar goes up from there. The Internet came along after computers. How long before Internet skills are basic job skills? Who defines the meaning of "Internet skills"?

[-] 1 points by inearth (96) from Tulelake, CA 13 years ago

We seem to be spending more time complaining and protesting rather than trying to actually act on solutions that might get us jobs! Let's do something about it.

[-] 1 points by TechJunkie (3029) from Miami Beach, FL 13 years ago

Learn a marketable job skill! Trying to find jobs for low-skilled people is not sustainable.

[-] 1 points by inearth (96) from Tulelake, CA 13 years ago

If you guys are serious about finding jobs.. then get on the list.

the face book page is not public

[-] 1 points by inearth (96) from Tulelake, CA 13 years ago

It doesn't have enough votes yet... it needs 25 likes before it can be public.

find another server

[-] 1 points by inearth (96) from Tulelake, CA 13 years ago

We won't be able to launch this in high crime states. Sorry in advance to Alabama, Texas and Michigan/Detroit.

[-] 1 points by RichardGates (1529) 13 years ago

that site has nothing to do with jobs and you didn't even read it

About: A list for drivers in the bay area and Vancouver. Invite other drivers only.

Description: Bay area has awesome drivers. Please only invite other drivers from the bay area.

Mission: To connect up drivers of san francisco.

Products: Awesome driving, kick ass driving, Drivers rule

has what to do with a job?

[-] 1 points by inearth (96) from Tulelake, CA 13 years ago

It actually was our way to spread the word.. we're launching in SF first.. I apologize for the "Drivers rule" part, but THIS IS to help drivers make money driving... please try to focus on the important part?

[-] 1 points by RichardGates (1529) 13 years ago

ok but you need to get it in order if you are for realz. contact info, location, time frames, an actual website (got money to hire, got money for a 5$ per month website) . if this is a launch, call it a botch.

[-] 1 points by inearth (96) from Tulelake, CA 13 years ago

This isn't a launch yet... Richard, I'm only trying to help in the best way I can.. I'm just an engineer.. GIVE ME A BREAK! I'm trying to just help ...

I can't launch the website right now.. we're still working on it.. yes it will be a website smart guy.

[-] 1 points by RichardGates (1529) 13 years ago

my bad. check it out. if you need some Free help in exchange for helping others, let me know holla@richardkentgates.com SEO, low cost solutions, ect...

[-] 1 points by inearth (96) from Tulelake, CA 13 years ago

If you're willing to help us find people jobs for free.. that would be great. I'm doing this not to make 1 cent in profit.. This is purely because I genuinely want to help... I'm sick of Obama doing NOTHING for us... I'm an engineer.. I am just trying to help.

[-] 1 points by RichardGates (1529) 13 years ago

well i'm an obama supporter but i admit, nothing is getting done. i am also trying to help by offering services. if you could get even a simple site, you could find more people on google by means of seo. it's hard to drive traffic to a fb page tho.

[-] 1 points by inearth (96) from Tulelake, CA 13 years ago

No, our website is the solution.. unfortunately it isn't a simple site and it will be online in 2 weeks... I'm just saying until then, please help by liking the facebook page...

[-] 1 points by Mooks (1985) 13 years ago

Who/what is going to be driven around?

[-] 1 points by inearth (96) from Tulelake, CA 13 years ago

Ordinary people like you and me to be driven around... it is similar to a taxi, but it is a completely legal way for you to drive without having a damn expensive taxi license.

[-] 1 points by CuttheBS (143) 13 years ago

if you get in an accident and your passenger gets hurt, who would they sue?

[-] 1 points by inearth (96) from Tulelake, CA 13 years ago

Well.. normal drivers insurance would cover it... But yes, that's a good point.. You need to have drivers insurance... and all drivers will go through a background check.

[-] 1 points by inearth (96) from Tulelake, CA 13 years ago

I wish we could help everyone, but unfortunately we can only help those that can drive at the moment. I deeply apologize, but I'm proud that at least we can help that way.

[-] 1 points by jpbarbieux (137) from Palmetto Bay, FL 13 years ago

Miami here

[-] 1 points by inearth (96) from Tulelake, CA 13 years ago

Join the list please and spread the word, we need at least 100 drivers from each state to be able to roll this out... This solution only works with enough drivers in a location.

[-] 1 points by morriden (128) from Burton, MI 13 years ago

Well, if your legit then I thank you for trying. If your in Flint MI, give me a holler.

[-] 1 points by inearth (96) from Tulelake, CA 13 years ago

I am legit.. I just don't know how to convey that part... I have to be honest, I don't think this will ever roll out in MI... it is just too much crime there.

[-] 1 points by morriden (128) from Burton, MI 13 years ago

lol it wont hurt my feelings. Believe me I know how you feel.
