All of the critics claim there is no clear message for what this movement is all about, and of course there is so much wrong with our system that it is difficult to narrow it down to a simple message but here is one that may be all encompassing. It's a case of greed, too many live by the philosophy of me first then we, which doesn't work. Our attitude and philosophy should be WE First, and then me. My point is illistratated in movie "A Beautiful Mind ". Nash's moment of brilliance comes when he realizes that everyone is better off when the needs of all are met.
We needed to cross the river. I didn't want to drown.
I think you might find The Spirit Level to be a very informative read, discusses income inequality and it's influence on society as a whole. Offers a perspective that I feel would compliment OWS very nicely.
"Everyone is better off when the needs of all are met."
HEAR, HEAR!
The Buddha, Lao Tzu and the Great Jewish Prophets including of course Yeshua (Jesus), were obviously not economists, but they had understood that FUNDAMENTAL TRUTH intuitively.
