Forum Post: We can clean Zuccotti ourselves free of charge.

You might recall pictures of protesters cleaning up Tahrir square in Egypt. Well, I'm here to tell NYPD and NY authorities that we can clean the park ourselves free of charge and save the city money. In return we demand that we be allowed to stay at the park.......This sounds like a good deal. Bloomberg must accept.

Arrive early with broom in hand and clean our new residency ourselves. No need for the city's involvement.

Bloomberg does NOT except because the other guy has more money than you therefore wins. Sorry.

But on a positive note if you clean the park and get arrested tomorrow and get community service maybe the judge will count it?

PS: But it will make Bloomberg look like an * to the rest of the world when he kicks you out anyway. So i guess that is a plus not that he needs any help in that department.

lol.. I like that. Our goals should be to make Bloomberg and the NYPD chief look like such ass holes that they would be hesitant, if not deterred all together from their planned actions.

Good position and attitude, here is some refinement if you think it can be articulated properly in your situation. Several people could turn this into a skit.

If you stand for the constitution, and are supporting and defending it against treason, and they interfere, what is that called? Wall street was treasonously empowered to rip off America and YOU are the ones working to enforce laws under the Constitution.

Any NYPD officer that treats you well and with respect knows this truth.

I hereby give all protestors and other citzens permission to copy and past this post into the , http://occupywallst.org/forum/are-you-all-ready-to-go-to-jail-tomorrow/ thread. That will be an agreement by and between you upon what is really going on

In diffuse the NYPD's pretext we, the residents of Zuccotti park, should awake early with broom in hand ready to clean the park ourselves.....This way they cannot morally remove us. If the NYPD opt to pursue an immoral course of action by forcing us out then we should refuse......We must play smart. Bloomberg is not the only trickster in town.

Tell NYPD and NY authorities to shove the pretext of cleaning the park in order to remove us up their asses.....We can clean Zuccotti park better than the city can ever clean it.

No they wont. Its about "cleaning" the park of trespassers not your trash, they view the people as trash.

Then they will use the police to occupy the park and won't let you back in after the "cleaning".

abmebratu is suggesting that we take away the Mayor's excuse for clearing us out. I think he's fully aware of what the real goal of the cleaning is.

If they are so worried about cleaning a park, then why not hand over this responsibility to us, the residents of Zuccotti Park. Only those who live in a community worry most about its sanitation. Unless, I'm missing something here....Pretext maybe??

I think they just thought it was a clever idea to get rid of everyone and then say when we come back ..Well you cant stay here.haha well show them Peace.Love.Solidarity.

[-] 1 points by abmebratu (349) from Washington, DC 13 years ago

I think the best thing to do by us would be to go there early with broom and brush in hand and start cleaning the park ourselves. This way their pretext would be nullified and any attempt to move us will stand on lesser moral grounds. Freedom must be defended in public. America must rise like never before.

You wont come back, they're going to seize all the supplies, the tents, etc. Then they will issue a blockage of the park for more time as "cleaning" isn't finished yet. They will install checkpoints to the park and flood it with cops to enforce the new rules about being there with a sleeping bag, or even laying down on your back. This is about ending the protest and sending a message. They're going to crack some heads like they did to the Spanish people 4 months again in Spain who were protesting. They sat down and locked their arms and then got hit a bunch of times with clubs. The cops are just going to grab people one by one and arrest everyone as trespassing and for disorderly conduct.

They will film it. The more chaotic the more force they'll be able to legally get away with. There is precedent here. Don't fight them, do not talk to them.

Then we should have a peaceful sit in in Zuccotti park, if attempts to clean Zuccotti park ourselves is not permitted. If they decide to send their goons to clean us out then we have no other choice, but to resist. And if they manage to force us out by sheer strength, then we will occupy other parks around NYC....This will not stop........

I apprecitate the passion and zeal, but this is not strategy. Americans need to unify behind invoking the law of the land (Article V of the constitution) and IF there is real capacity to fulfill any of the demands, to resolve any issues, solve any problems, then strategy using laws will be the next level. Otherwise, ouch, we lose.

[-] 1 points by abmebratu (349) from Washington, DC 13 years ago

To invoke the full force of the law you need the full force of lawyers. This requires money, which is in the hands of the corporate sector. So, then, tell me how can the poor and middle class invoke the full force of the law. Besides, even the law makers are paid stooges for the Goldman Sachs and Walmarts of the world.

[-] 1 points by ChristopherABrown (550) from Santa Barbara, CA 13 years ago

Law does not define that lawyers are needed to invoke the full force of law. Democratic majority can do it alone. Corporations and the infiltrated government would like it IF money was needed to invoke law at the highest level, but our numbers alone can do it IF we are unified.

[-] 1 points by abmebratu (349) from Washington, DC 13 years ago

When Laws fail to prosecute the biggest criminals in the history of America, Wall Street speculators, then the weapon of mass civil disobedience must be unleashed to preserve our government and our constitution.
