Forum Post: We are the 99% not the 49.5%

I can see across the forum that many of the demands are asking for a socialize government. But the wall street movement is not aiming for this. It should be a demand for the 99% of the people. There should have a center message that unites both sides, left and right, to the demand.

I totally agree with you, but unfortunately, a large number think that their liberal agenda should be mandatory. I went to a couple of rallies over this past weekend and it made me pull back from the movement.

Until a movement exists that truly represents issues of the 99% and not some personal ideology... I am not getting fully involved. During the rallies, I felt like any support I was giving the movement was being used to support policies that I disagree with. Attempts to discuss/debate with people turned out horribly as they were ill-informed of the issues and were not interested in anything but their pre-conceived notions.

Bleh.
