As mentioned by a previous post, from an income perspective the top 1% is income down at $380,354 (which is still about 8x the ave income). The 1% may represent the "powerful" but they are vehemently protected by the next 19% that elude to being in the 1% and are afraid that any impact to the 1% will also effect them. This movement therefore relates to the 80% that do not have power and do want change. We are the 80%!

Nice try. The 99% is more correct. My wife and my joint income is up at $300k and we definitely support this movement. It's not just about having money, it's also about having a political voice, and currently we have none. Also the current system is going to destroy the planet and leave nothing for our children to live on.
