IMPORTANT NOTE:

  1. NO GUNS TO POLICE
  2. NO HANDCUFFING OF THOSE ARRESTED(in India, handcuffing is banned)
  3. NO BATONS TO POLICE.

watch how the students go underneath the police vans to prevent their friends from being arrested. More than seventy students were arrested and charged. Usually a month later when all anger subsides, the government will drop all the charges. These are things done in anger, that does not make these students bad citizens or criminals.

Only if the students indulge in violence and stone throwing, then the police resort to attacking with batons. If it is later found that the police had used excessive force then the police go to prison.

Any crime by police officers, maximum prison sentence should be given Supreme Court of India. If trigger happy cops kill someone, then the cops get hanged.

NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Monday said those responsible for fake encounters should be given the death sentence and hanged in what marks a significant toughening of stand against extra-judicial killings by trigger happy cops.

"Fake encounter killings by cops are nothing but cold-blooded brutal murder which should be treated as the rarest of rare offence and police personnel responsible for it should be awarded death sentence. They should be hanged," Justice Markandey Katju observed while hearing the fake encounter case of an alleged gangster by Rajasthan Police on October 23, 2006.

"If crimes are committed by ordinary people, ordinary punishment should be given but if the offence is committed by policemen, much harsher punishment should be given to them because they do an act totally contrary to their duties," Justice Katju added.
