For centuries politicians have used war to unite a population against a common enemy. It's a workable mechanism.
In recent history we have seen politicians use the term war for more abstract enemies, like the war on poverty, the war on drugs, the war on terror.
I suggest a war on political corruption.
I'd gladly debate those in favor of political corruption.
As do lots of "real" wars, but there are counter examples.
The war on poverty wasn't all that unsuccessful either. The other two are certainly failures.
Corruption is a never ending war, just as crime is a never ending war, it doesn't mean that we don't have to a battle over it from time to time.
except the wars on poverty, drugs and terror are all failures. because wars on words are stupid. these wars never end, cost gobs of money, and offer little accomplishments.
man i love this idea lol. sweeeet. since it's global could we call it WW3. how cool would that be. the war to end all is one of non-violence. to big?
I appreciate your patriotism and hope more will follow.
I LOVE your line :"I'd gladly debate those in favor of political corruption."
