Can anyone guess why we would be at War in the middle east....continual never ending war in the middle east but don't have much of any bother with Africa?
Money? Money? Money?
IMAGINE------The Beattles
Money and religious bullshit.
Can we even afford it?
Yea, it's not on behalf of the middle class.
proxy wars in africa with china for resources (oil, metals) may be an upcoming thing actually.
So if there was no Monetary system. Where would we be fighting?
that is about resources and control, i don't think the monetary system has anything to do with it.
Corporations would be nothing if they didn't have resources. They profit because they control the resources. It's capital. *example... Big Oil.
monetary systems act as a proxy for commodities. so, it has everything to do with it...except when money is no longer valued by commodities like gold and silver. notwithstanding, the answer is yes. we would still be fighting for other country's resources unless there was an equal or better alternative offered domestically that was both sustainable and cheap. also, the velocity and scope of commodity conflicts are mostly determined by the scarcity and volatility of the commodity. that's why we've attacked or lambasted nearly every OPEC country dating back to 1960. oil is one of most volatile commodities in the market.
Here's the current list of OPEC countries. Check off the one's that America has threatened, invaded or occupied , and you should derive to the answer from the original question submitted. By the way, many of them are in Africa...
Algeria Angola Ecuador Iran Iraq Kuwait Libya Nigeria Qatar Saudi Arabia UAE Venezuela
what does our monetary system have to do with any of this though? whether fiat, gold or sea shells, oil is a magical thing, and all will fight for control and availability of it!
Thank you.
My pleasure, Cindy. I greatly admire the people posting on this website and marching in resistance against the system. It's a great tribute to all those that have risen against tyranny throughout the ages. As Jefferson stated, "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants. It is it's natural manure."
Amen my friend.
