Did you know that Henry Ford made an automobile from Hemp and other natural materials? Look that one up on youtube and watch them try to dent that automobile with a sledge hammer. The body of this vehicle withstood impacts with barely a scratch. Impacts that would would have damaged the average steel automobile. The best part of that experiment? The car and almost all of it's parts were 100% recyclable material! Imagine a car that returns, pollution free, to the Earth after it's lifespan. Rather than to sit around rusting in scrap yards etc. Many car parts are made from Hemp again today as the material is being rediscovered for it's myriad of industrial applications. Hemp can be used to make Biodegradable plastics. When applied to building materials, Hemp is far superior to many products currently in use. Hempcrete, a concrete like material has been found to be extremely durable with a very long life span. Hundreds of years it is estimated. In fact ancient peoples built with this material. Hemp fibered plywood is 4 times stronger than regular plywood. As a food, cold pressed Hemp seed oil produces the highest grade of nutritional oil. It contains a healthy balance of essential fatty acids and is rich in omega 3 fatty acids. It's a complete protein and is good for your heart and overall health. Hemp can easily be made into a sustenance food that can be used to feed starving populations all over the world. In fact it is a durable, drought resistant plant, that grows in almost any climate. It can readily be grown in almost any country where food shortages are an issue. Hemp is a universally beneficial natural material with and endless array of uses and virtually no downside in terms of pollution. In fact Hemp can replace many materials and products that do create pollution and other problems. There is seemingly only one down side to it. It is illegal to cultivate Hemp in the United States! Yet over 30 other industrial nations import Hemp to the U.S. every year. What is wrong with this picture? Hemp was once grown all over America. Many of the founding fathers grew it, and they encouraged all Americans to grow it. It was widely used. The war of 1812 was fought over it. The sailing ships and covered wagons that carried our ancestors to and across this nation were outfitted with Hemp canvas sails, ropes and tarps. Betsy Ross made flags from Hemp fiber. The Bill of Rights and the Constitution were written on Hemp Paper. Even as late as the 1930's, Popular Science Magazine referred to Hemp as "The New Billion Dollar crop", yet today farms are going under all over the country and all of the Hemp in the United States is imported from other nations. Our Canadian neighbors are fast becoming the most prolific Hemp producing country on the planet. WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED???? Special interests conspired to make the Cultivation of Hemp illegal in the United States. Hemp is a natural material that can not be patented. One that can offer serious competition to agricultural, forestry, chemical and other business interests. Hemp was demonized as a drug akin to Cannabis or "marijuana", when in fact they are not the same at all. Do you want an issue to get behind that will save America? Here you go. Copy and repost this to every website you can think of. Let's make this THE issue for the next election.
wow, put down the bong and step away. Maybe read a book or two and think of something besides your precious smoke.
