Are you guys from around here? You know wallstreet is an intensely high security area right? You can expect to be confronted by the NYPD immediately and rounded up and arrested... unless you've got a better plan.
i think steven learner should be arrested for economic terrorism...

blocking the sidewalk and refusing to move is called Disorderly Conduct. For this you will be arrested.
A lot will depend on how many WTC first responders show up. I doubt on duty officers on Sept 17 will use violent force against them. In fact, they will probably refuse orders to do so. If they do, we will know the NYPD stand with the people. If they don't, and if the sick, uncompensated first responders are hit with batons and dragged away, we will all have proof that American authorities have officially turned against the people. And that will likely lead to a very, very ugly situation when night falls.
The authorities will not take your constitutional rights into consideration, this has been demonstrated time and time again. They do not fuck around, they do not care about your feelings, which laws they break or how many nations will be watching when they bring the hurt down on you. Bizarre as it may seem, In their minds they are protecting the public from you.
Every single American has the right to peacefully assemble on the SIDEWALKS, including sleeping. Pitching a tent isn't legal, so if anyone does that they better be prepared to get arrested. But otherwise, NYPD can't legally do anything (even though they probably will.)
Are they allowed to arrest you for public gathering on a public place? Because if not then we are not in an illegal position. Event thought some time police don't always follow the law. I have seen it in paris.
The NYPD can't do anything against thousands of protesters. Also freedom of assembly is in the first amendment. We have the moral high ground and we will fight for the rights enlisted in our constitution even if other people are not willing to do so themselves. As Benjamin Franklin once said, those who give up their freedoms for security deserve neither. Corporations may or may not succeed in turning this country into a totalitarian state. But one thing is certain. We will give them hell.
look into the demonstrations against the iraq war in new york city, there were thousands and thousands of people, many got beaten and arrested, albeit the more radical circles
