I have been shopping Walgreens for most pharmaceuticals for many years. I was there yesterday and I could not believe that most items in the store went up considerably. Why? I can buy hand lotion in the 99 cent store for that price. Checking ingredients , the same type product sells for between $4 and $5 dollars in Walgreens. During these hard times Walgreens should be giving more discounts instead of raising price on ALL items. And we are picketing Banks etc.. These type stores are bleeding us more , getting richer and getting away with it un noticed.
If you had noticed, one of the major insurance-prescription handlers, Express Scripts, stopped dealing with Walgreen's at the beginning of the year. Though every other pharmaceutical chain made pricing agreements with Express Scripts, Walgreen's did not. That should tell you something.
What do they pay their employees? What benefits do they get? Are Walgreens employees qualifying for food stamps?
everyone should

Then go to the .99 store.
You have every right to. You get to choose in this situation.
You really MISS the point !!!
The poster makes it sound like they are forced to get their goods from Walgreens when this is not true.
If they just take their business to the other store that has the exact same item for .99, like in the example used, they can pressure Walgreens to lower prices or help cause it to die as a business.
You know this to be true.
They are a buisness and have the right to make money.

Except for the Spanish olives and honey when they go on sale, just about everything else there is a rip-off.
