This coming election is for the Public Relations face of the military-fascist banksters now in control of America, for that position I prefer Obama. I realize that this is not a democracy,. where we the people get to participate and that much of the voting is rigged anyway,. (see Bush Jr. election history,. "stop the count" and all that.) If I can stand the hypocrisy of it, and force myself to the poles, I will vote for Obama, as he is clearly the lesser of the two evils being offered by the powers that control sht here.
I will however continue to fight against the whole anti-democratic system, as it does not represent me, my interests, or those of anyone I know or care about. We need revolutionary change, we need to build a real democracy, and a civil society based on voluntary cooperation and mutual aid of our affinity groups. We need a new money system, one that does not have in-built skimming systems for the 1% to maintain their wealth,. without any actual contributions to society. We need to make these changes ourselves, as the faux-democracy we have now is only a ruse, a distraction, a prison for our discontent.
Vote for the lesser evil, continue to fight all evil.
Amen. I agree with essentially all your points.
I'd like to add that the Democratic Party has a structure that can be taken over. It's organized by district (usually a state legislative district I think). Each district has a district leader. The endorsement of the local Democratic club usually controls who enters politics and who does not -- so it's actually a locus of power.
These district clubs are small. Usually people don't want to be district leaders and other local positions (there's no pay for example). A small group of 15 - 20 individuals could come into any local Democratic district club and take over. It's that simple.
Take over enough local clubs, control the early nominating process, eventually control the party.
I agree with everything you say, jph. Pretty sad, huh?
Is this revolutionary enough?

Cosign. I'm gonna vote 'Bama in '12, 'cause he's the best we're gonna get with the dummy dumb two party electoral college riggery in place. Whatever you wanna say about the prez, we could do WAY WORSE.
"We need to revolutionary change"
Voting for Obama is a vote for the status quo. The safe choice.
Revolution requires courage, not doing what is safe, but doing what is just. If you think that voting for the lesser of two evils will accomplish anything, then look at what it has brought us over the last 40 years.
The change we need will not happen by supporting a party, but by destroying the corruption that is the basis of every party. We need to elect leaders whose allegiance is to the people they serve, not to a party that uses the many to benefit the few.
Wait a minute, Obama bailed out wall street, the OWS protest wall street and you are going to vote for Obama.
And now Obama is allowing the Feds to print more money so that they can buy secured mortgages from the banks so the banks will have more money they can invest in the stock market.
And you are going to vote for Obama who stands for everything that OWS is against.
Amazing, really Amazing. No wonder OWS have no credibility - this is a grand example of that
Ya that makes a lot of sense. Do what we have been doing the last god-only-knows-how-many years.
We need this. We need that. But lets make sure we keep the same two companies in charge for another two years.
Wake me up when you are ready to get going.
Yeah just keep voting for Boeing,
Keep voting for Raytheon
Keep voting for KBR
Keep voting for Wall Street
Yeah that's the solution!
Obama and Romney are the products of billions of dollars spent on propaganda to brain wash you into voting for them
Why else would they spend billions?
You democrats didn't even try to get a better option in the primaries.
