What about implementing a virtual government, a mock government that operates parallel to the legitimate government? Demonstrate to the people what a just government, a real government of the people should be. This idea would be an appropriate adjunct to my first idea of an online Presidential election. Your comments please.
I'm recommending a plural executive which is defined as follows:
Federalist No. 70 From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The essay deals with the question of a plural executive. Hamilton argues that a plural executive, having more than one president, "tends to conceal faults, and destroy responsibility", and states that a singular president would better be suited to wield the full potential of his power in a quick and efficient way, without falling into endless squabbling and dispute with other executives with the same power. He also warns that when dealing with more than one leader, "there is always difference of opinion".
OK, so Hamilton didn't like it. But examine one of his reasons for denying it: "He also warns that when dealing with more than one leader, 'there is always difference of opinion' ". Imagine that, differences of opinion. So, unless contested, the following parties will be represented in the new Executive Branch:
One Democrat One Republican One Libertarian One Independent One OWS
add to the list, if deemed necessary.
The election will be held in January 2012 before the State of the Union address.
All candidates must submit a agreement with the people.
This is such a good idea! Do it before the free internet disappears!
