A better world is possible. A much better world.
Public funding of elections, either through general revenues, individual tax credits or special scrip. Big money politics give disproportionate influence to the wealthy, and blocks the candidacies of those without access to money.
That is an interesting article.
Soem campaigns only accepted up to $100 per person this past campaign. It didnt buy any tv commercials, but it forced them out into the public, to actual campaigning, which is what its suppose to be.
Campaigners get better experience, candidates get a better feel, and people get more involved in the process.
Judging everything via the tv or the internet, with no human communication, is a wreckless way to manage the democratic process. As we are seeing.
Facts has had several posts about how they had that in AZ but then ALEC ..............well, you know.
