How is it legal that I pay taxes every month, roughly 20 dollars a month to a fucking cell phone company that pays ZERO taxes to the federal company...is there an attorney in the house?

Seems to me that an an android powered pda, an ipod touch or an android reader like nook color, does the same thing as a smartphone minus the data charges, particularly if you install voip app like skype. Quit wasting your money.

tell that to the wife

Not to mention their contributions to the Tea Party... I'm switching to Sprint.

What's wrong with the Tea Party?

[-] 1 points by ritacon (29) 13 years ago

Coopted to serve as mouthpiece of big oil, ie Koch Industries.

[-] 1 points by Tommiethenoncommie (211) 13 years ago

What's wrong with big oil? It's the EPA that's the problem. We can't drill our own oil.

[-] 1 points by ritacon (29) 13 years ago

Great, another paid mouthpiece. Bye.

[-] 1 points by Tommiethenoncommie (211) 13 years ago

If we drilled our own oil... do I really need to explain?

[-] 1 points by ritacon (29) 13 years ago

Go cash your check from the Koch brothers.

I get paid with your tax dollars via education.

[-] 1 points by ritacon (29) 13 years ago

Sure you do.

[-] 1 points by Tommiethenoncommie (211) 13 years ago

The only paycheck I get is education, which is funded by your tax dollars.

tommie, don't buy into this crap. i am a liberal but we have a lot of posers here trying to keep conservatives from joining or debating. they are themselves most likely conservatives or fringe elements. if you want to know, present them with debatable info and see if they become more extreme or more reasonable.

Verizon is to dam big for their pants, but all the phone companies know they got hold of you by your balls

[-] 1 points by PartyX (202) 13 years ago

You know cell phone providers should be part of the jobs bill along with cable companies... everyone pays to much money

[-] 0 points by USCitizenVoter (720) 13 years ago

it's no joke paying them over $100 a month to communicate with the world over a freakin walkie talky

[-] 1 points by PartyX (202) 13 years ago

My wife has to have an Iphone... I have the minimal phone, to much effort texting and reading small print these days. 1400 min and we pay 200 dollars a month, plus 150 for cable.... can we get a break?

[-] 1 points by thoreau42 (595) 13 years ago

Yeah, cancel your service and get a land line. There's a $300+ month break.

All of the things you listed aren't needed to survive.

[-] 1 points by PartyX (202) 13 years ago

I survived quite well for years without them, however I got married and have kids now so my situation has changed. If you do not believe me ask my wife...lol

The prices make me feel like I must be crazy for paying them. I remember when the price was $12.5 for cable and $15. for a home phone.

The FCC is worthless

[-] 0 points by USCitizenVoter (720) 13 years ago

That's a big part of the problem. Some good government regulations. Tax the little guy every chance they get. Hell if we don't stop their nonsense I don't know what I'm going to do just to stay afloat.

[-] 1 points by PartyX (202) 13 years ago

that is why I'm posting my comments
