Forum Post: "Value Schools"

Kind of like a valuemart for cheap and cheesy goods I would imagine.

With school vouchers off the menu and ALEC screaming for the destruction of unions and public unions in particular, Snyder has blessed a secret "skunk works", to do ALEC's bidding anyway, and "value schools" is the much needed propaganda term they need to continue their destruction..

Nowhere in the article is the actual name of the organization given, yet of the three main names given here is what I can find so far.

I don't think that's how they do that in Texas. Home of the Texas school book suppository.

They have plenty of rope.

They just used it to tie up the truth. They can't let that kind of thing get free, you know.

Well they are working hard on tying that hangman's knot and they are getting purple in the face from being choked - but they just haven't gotten it quite right to finish the job - meanwhile the lack of air is making them even stupider.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

We'll see.

"Skunk works" is still alive and well here in Michigan.

So much to do/accomplish so little time.

The threat of "emergency managers" now hangs over everyone's head.

The message?

Be careful who you elect. If they don't like him?

He will be replaced.

corp(se)oRAT created legislation has got to be stopped and removed.

Back on the subject of schools.

Insurance for armed teachers will break the budgets of ever more public schools.

Do you think the NRA will help pay for what they've wrought?

I don't.

[-] -1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

NRA pitch in for armed guards? HELL NO they won't - they just want to try and shit umm I mean shift reasonable responsibility off to someone else - and if you were to ask me armed guards are not the ticket in the 1st place.

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Guards??

This is about armed teachers.

This is about what the NRA demanded, and the fact that insurance for those teachers is incredibly high priced.

Just one more attack on the public schools.

[-] 0 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

This is about armed teachers

Which is even worse ( still though are armed guards ) - plenty to go wrong - no matter how well intentioned.

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

No follow up yet on what they intend to do without insurance, nor how the parents/tax payers are reacting

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Sad to say - but I figure the tax payers/parents are just wanting to let the memory fade - so that they can carry on as though nothing happened.

Skunk works no longer viable?

Nerd fund found out?

No worries mate. Just call on Moody's to do your dirty work.

And let the destruction of public schools and those pesky, pension "grubbing" unions, continue.....unabated.

I saw a report on local news last night - where there was a local movement to sue for profit internet colleges and I believe some plain local for profits as well.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Interesting. On what grounds?

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

False claims as to what would happen on graduation - I believe it had to do with job availability - real as to claimed. Among other things I gathered from the piece.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

If you hear more, let us know. That could get interesting.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Will do - about time 4profit really got looked at.

Denial of education by terrorism or economics is wrong.

While in this country, the GOP would rather TAX the shit out of college/university students, rather than the polluters that actually helped put us in this mess.

In Palestine the women are out doing their male counterparts, but there are no jobs.

Hmmmm - you think that they think that if they can keep more of the population from higher education that they will be in their glory?

In Palestine the women are out doing their male counterparts, but there are no jobs.

When one looks at the history of the whole middle east - they really could benefit from developing some matriarchal power.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

I know that's what they think. They have "dumbed down" education, everywhere they could and they aren't done yet.

[-] 2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Lord love em for being idiots - less/poor education of bright individuals generally is not good for the status quo worse for society on the whole - but certainly bad for them. But when you consider that they are morons............they have not figured out that they are working hard at removing the veneer of civilization .......and "that" generally fucks up a society - but also ( worse for them ) is usually a pretty precarious dilemma for those pretending to be in charge.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

What??

Once they have the entire education system profiteered, they will be able to overcharge 1st graders too!!!!!

Student debt..............from preschool to the grave!!!

It will be glorious indeed!

Plus they will believe that Jesus rode dinosaurs.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Yep - no one in school - can't afford to go - no jobs dying economy - toxic hazards proliferating - food that bites back - they are doing their best to create the perfect societal storm.

Monday looks to be a very exciting day.

[-] -3 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

I don't know if I can take much more, it's been an overly exciting week so far, and it hasn't slowed the ALEC agenda one tiny bit.

In fact, at least in Michigan, it is still accelerating.

[+] -4 points by GirlFriday (17435) 11 years ago

I'm not sure that anyone else can take much more.

[-] -3 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Unfortunately we may not have a choice.

http://www.detroitnews.com/article/20130420/SCHOOLS/304200345/Snyder-defends-secret-project-reform-education-system?odyssey=tab|topnews|text|FRONTPAGE

Almost every once of legislation this does "guy", is of the clandestine variety.

But somehow the ties to ALEC and the brothers Koch are also there.
