And pay attention: “…But for those making more than $1 million — there were 236,883 such households in 2009 — I would raise rates immediately on taxable income in excess of $1 million, including, of course, dividends and capital gains. And for those who make $10 million or more — there were 8,274 in 2009 — I would suggest an additional increase in rate.”

I can verify these numbers as accurate because I have been working on the Census data to see where middle incomes drop off and where upper incomes pick up. At least me and Mr. Buffett have one thing in common. We both look at the same data correctly.

In total, there are 245,157 people in the United States who make more than $1 million. 245,157 slave owners.

245,157 financial terrorists.

Oh, and by the way…

535 people are in Congress

237 of the 535 people in Congress are millionaires.

If you let the income number slip to $750,000 then, the number increases to 428.

There is no motivation for the majority of Congress to think of any legislation that reduces the financial burdens of the Working Class. We are here for their continued benefit. We are constantly kept distracted with all sorts of smoke screens, shiny new toys and dividing lines to keep us off balance, mollified and attacking our own. The rest of America make $250,000 and below. This is the other side of the gulf. $750,000+ separates us from them.

As of September 27, 2011, the United States has a total resident population of 312,259,000.

312,013,843 versus 245,157

As of 30 September 2010, 1,430,895 people were on active duty in the military.

So, really it is…

310,582,948 versus 1,430,895 controlled by 245,157

Unless, we have our own “Arab Spring”. Then, the 1,430,895 would diminish.

Granted, in any revolution, people will die but, there is no motivation for the 99.5% to rise up against the .5%. We The People are not starving 18th Century Frenchmen and Frenchwomen. If we were, there would be more righteous outrage and action. But, a few of us, are cleaning the rust off our verbal pitchforks, lighting the torches of our hearts and marching into the streets with one voice. We will wake the sleeping to vigilance with the shouts of our outrage.

Too bad it is national news when a new iPad or iPhone come out. They found a way to run advertisements disguised as news articles.

I loved the quote from Rick Perry's wife about minimum wage jobs...evidently we are all "hungry" for those low paying jobs. How right she is (sarcasm); I am so thankful to be among the working poor families with no health care benefits as my husband works 6 days a week to barely pay our very modest bills... The sad thing is that wealthy people really have this world view that because they are wealthy they are deserving of wealth and if you are poor you obviously don't deserve wealth so why should they pay you a living wage? Herman Cain showed that he sees the world in the same way with his comment about the state of our lives being our own fault. This is only true in the sense that it is our fault we trusted the system, trusted the politians, trusted the supreme court, and trusted the companies to consider the impact of their actions on the health of the nation, the people, and the economy rather than being driven soley by increased personal power and wealth. Unfortunately, the system supports sociopathic, predatory, and abusive behavior because there are rarely any penalties for the individuals who exist in that small world. They are almost never brought to court.

Just an FYI, Congress is Constitutionally allowed to set their salaries.
