US Next? Opposition To Create TV Station Based On Crowd Funding
(This was an idea I had posted early on in OWS. It is a very exciting concept. It is one of my biggest wishes to see this in North America. Until the people have a presence in the MSM, it is unlikely the masses be able to become politically aware and break free of the mass conditioning inflicted upon them by the powers that be.)

Opposition figures are getting ready to launch a new internet TV channel as an alternative to the federal channels and public television initiated by the government.
“We’ll focus on the high quality of the content and picture, as it is the only way to gain hearts of citizens, who will finance the project,” Fair Russia deputy Dmitry Gudkov told Izvestia daily.
He estimated that the channel would require financing of around 100 million rubles (about US$3 million) per month. Gudkov added that to raise this sum would require about 1 million people willing to pay a symbolic 100 rubles ($3) per month for what he calls objective information and analysis.
The content of the new channel will have free copyright and can be used by any other media, Gudkov said.
The MP added that viewers will also be able to choose topics for the programs, as well as vote for hosts and presenters thus evaluating their work.
Several independent journalists and politicians have agreed to join the new channel. In addition, according to Gudkov, some journalists working for the federal channels are also considering their proposal. The release of the first program, dedicated to pressing political and social issues, is expected as early as September.
Now you're talking. Give the people what they want, and keep the infotainment for those who don't care about their own world and future.
Exactly! In my original post about this idea way back, I asked the people on this forum if they would be willing to pay $1 per month to pay for a tv station by the people, for the people. If I remember right, it was 100% positive feedback.
The vetting process would have to be meticulous and an ongoing concern with a small team of researchers to make sure the reporters aren't connected to any bias globalist organizations like 'The Trilateral Commission' or 'Council on Foreign Relations' like so many of the anchors in MSM are today. CNN has to be the worst for this.
I had suggested it could be called "The People's Network" (TPN). Another poster said that the name was already being used, but you get the idea.
In my view, the two biggest things that need to be done to put the government back in the hands of the people are 1.) Remove the ruling .01% oligarchs from power, and 2.) Infiltrate and have control of a portion of the MSM. Here's to hoping !!
The second suggestion, meaning infiltrate and have control of a portion of the MSM, will enable the first suggestion, by allowing the disclosure of who they are, and what they are doing, or attempting to do/bribe/buy.
Gonna need some legal advice though. Could tie up the whole budget fighting libel cases. Otherwise, great concept that I would happily donate to.

Hi Peter. I've read the whole document, and reposted it on several Australian boards. Thanks buddy.
Your government is involved too isnt it?
Yes, and New Zealand as well.
We are fast approaching corporate kleptocracy, or complete and total western revolution. There is already heavy concern here about foreign nationals bringing in their own cheaper workers to take our resources.
Our MSM is tied up with that murdock arsehole, so it's up to us to get the real message out to the people.
I'm doing my best, and thanks for the info, my friend.
No problem, we gotta stop these motherfuckers
Information dissemination is the key to that end.
I sure hope that someone is working on ways to keep the internet free and open-source, because the oligarchs will soon try and block anything but their own content. It's the only media source they can't buy, yet.
Agreed
I would ignore huff post on this. democracynow is ok. This is a regional agreement but there are huge problems with it. Because of the particular countries involved this may be designed to deal with China. "Australia, Brunei, New Zealand, Singapore, Chile, Peru and Vietnam, as well as the U.S., plus Malaysia has now joined."

Good post. We need real news, to survive.
Isn't this just RT wanting a streaming internet channel? It's not 'TV' so-to-speak.
Ya, the post is misleading.
There's no such thing as news without bias.
