As an U.S. Driver, I would be more than happy to pay $10-$50 for the privilege of being able to drive with an "Universal Driver License". It would be great if my driver license can serve as my passport enabling me to drive all over the world. Only 10% The fee for the license should go to the issuers for materials, the rest of the 90% should be diverted into a fund to be use by an newly establish organization (in the same vein as the Red Cross or Amnesty International) to distribute all over the world to those in needs. If every driver in the world submit to this universal driver license imagine how much good we all can do for the world.

This is a great idea!

And by "great", I mean "stupid".

please expand. it's only an idea, if you can help me to formulate or modify it into a better and workable model please explain where you think it's "stupid".

fuck that, go back to sleep sheeple, how much "good" can you do when you make people dependent on the system, either for "good" or by the need to get a license in the fisrt place

the idea is similar to the vanity license plate which is optional to a random plate you can get at the Notary. If you can propose a way for people to drive safely without the driver license I would be more than happy to hear it.

are people driving safely now? I think you are misunderstanding, the point of drivers license isn't to make it safer. it's just another method of control.

so are you trying to say that governments rule that everyone has to get a license is making people drive safer? lol THATS A JOKE! what about the people who dont get one? there are MANY WHO DON't, or just don't care

every type of governments exert control over it's citizens that's the definition of "govern". I do believe that people that have to submit through a written test of traffic rules and regulations and pass a driving test in order to get a driver license to those that don't. if you have convincing facts to this point let me know. the thing that I find irritating and want to remove is the mandatting insurance. I also don't think that just anybody should be able to drive a class "A" or "B" without a license.
