The problem with Americans is that we rely to much on UNEARNED income. Think about it. UNEARNED !!! Money without having to work at it.
If everyone was happy without having all of the materialistic things in life we wouldn't be having this conversation. Simple pleasures. Solid work ethics.
We as Americans also have to stop thinking that economic success is based on how much we can spend and consume.
I think I understand. For example, the rich people. They inherit their business and their money from their parents, who inherited from their grandparents. They put people to work in their business, they put a manager to administer the business, and they can live a easy life, just collecting the profits of the business, and going to parties every night and traveling around the world. Yeah, you are right. The rich bastards have Money without having to work at it.
Everyone should have to work for money. Even the rich !!! Otherwise they are not contributing to the common good.
yeah im pretty sure (and ready to be corrected if im wrong) but the whole argument of "get a job you lazy..." is BS. im pretty sure those with the big bucks 1% don't 'work'...they don't have too....is that unearned income? their kids and SO's don't work....they make their money work for them. its old money...
Its actually called EARNED Income and its a tax credit.
What?
Give some examples please....
