Decentrailized movement: who cashes the donor checks? Who controls the posting of news articles on the homepage? and I believe that your soundbite phrasing of the claim of 99% support shows that u have learned the corporate way: repeat it enough and it becomes reality. Read the seminal text "Selling of the President". The anger of getting screwed over by commercial America is making u irrational. we are all pissed but there is a simple way out of the mess. Support and buy from community based organizations. contribute to social lending organizations. disconnect from commercialization. join credit unions. I dare u to throw away your ATM cards. Credit Cards. Organize a commune. cooperative living societies. Dont rant about it. That frightens and angers people who are making their way through the system and in reality understand what is happening better than u do. They have educated themselves better that u have. It is obvious smartphones, twitter, facebook, gameboys, xboxes, and laptops are a way of anesthesizing the population. I protested through the sixties and early seventies. There was a very limited and cogent goal. and it was met. turning the economic system around without inadvertently supporting big business and banks is revolutionary and without overwhelming support. Unfortunately it appears that u want a bailout just like the banks got.
you obviously still know nothing then, look up the federal reserve and how the banks have been eating away at our country until there is nothing left - a lot of people are asking for a separation of government and corporations. there are a lot of people trying to create a new system that doesn't revolve around capitalism, and it is better to dream big and work towards that goal little by little
remove the capital and what happens? I am not sure that the hard labor required to build something new can be explained to someone who lives to reboot, press start... this is not a game it is a life choice. Are you committed?
that's what a lot of people are pushing for, personally I am not pushing for that, that's really a long term goal - for now i just prefer that we dissolve the federal reserve and re-appropriate that power to people in government, and remove corporate funding for politicians
this is 2012 man this is the command of the universe..just as these mixed up beautiful people havent quite coalesed so what!! the american revolution took 20 years to form and 30 more to define itself..we cant be in a hurry..the opposition is entrenched..at least it is starting..dont judge a painting till it is finished be kind http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4QrDLwSgg24
i dont think that u can live off donated pizzas for that long. ten years from now what corporation will u be working for?
That's something I've been thinking quietly to myself.
After all, the Baby Boomers--our beacons of Sixties Flower Power activism--are the bourgeois corporate workers of today.
How do we not end up like our parents?
just like little communists end up as comrades. hard work will bring u freedom. get out of your prius or volvo. walk or bike. and no more vacations to take advantage of underpaid non-union labor making five bucks a day. no more top shelf liquor. brew your own wine and beer. and I'm not knocking the comfort I have earned over the last thirty five years.
I agree with you. Get our of our expensive cars and stop going on diversionary vacations. That's pretty spot on.
we may have to cut down on the thread count of our sheets. good evening
