There is a loud voice of discontent. Our leaders understand that we think things need to change; but, we need a way to formalize our thoughts. We need a method to bring everyone together, establish a platform, and get things done. I am here with just such a method. I am starting a lobbying organization to represent the interests of the majority to their elected leaders. The organization will poll its members to determine what issues we will take up. Any issue that receives 65% support or opposition we will contact all of the elected leaders whose districts are aligned with the national polling figures. This not only will help us determine a platform but also provide us with firm figures that we can bring to our elected leaders. They need to understand what issues we are unified for and they need proof of that support. While the movement is still amorphous, it cannot actually force concrete change. If you are interested please check out www.lobbydemocracy.com. Any questions or ideas you have can either be posted as part of this thread or can be sent to us via the website.

A lot of people have come from this post to the web site which is great, but I would love some feedback on what people think of the idea. Any recommendations as we move forward?

I think many of them will be ousted. Some of them, however, will listen and act. We need to help drive that process forward.

The problem is that people have forgotten that we do have the power to change the world. The world is not static. It is always changing. Why not step up and be part of the change.

We are reaching a tipping point, where we are no longer a bunch of morons staring at our TVs, but a bunch of more informed morons staring at our Facebooks. The politicians probably won't catch on before they ousted by the forces of social media.

I don't believe that to be true for the most part. I think most politicians care most about getting re-elected. All of the money is only there to buy votes for politicians. Votes are the true currency, and if you can make it clear that you carry enough votes to knock them out of office if they do not pay attention to your demands then they will listen. If they do not listen then we have a track record of it and will have more power with our next elected leaders after we vote the current ones out of power.

Implying politicians care what 65% of people without much money think.
